Building Diagnostics for Earthquake-resist

Shinko Plantech performs earthquake-resist diagnostics of plant buildings and equipment mounts based on our long-standing experience and broad expertise.

Based on our many years of experience in maintenance work and our track record in engineering services, we perform earthquake-resist diagnostics on existing structures and plant foundations, including the review of potential equipment modifications.

Advantages

  • Earthquake-resist diagnostics are performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Law on the Promotion of Seismic Retrofitting of Buildings (1995).
    (Earthquake-resist targets are in line with the current Building Standards Law.)
  • Capable of performing a diagnostics and assessment of joint deficiencies seen in most aging structures to enhance earthquake-resist.
  • Assessments are made based on strength and stability, while diagnoses are performed on ultimate strength. This ensures structural integrity and safety during large earthquakes with the smallest amount of reinforcement possible.
  • The calculation model is based on existing design drawings. When sufficient materials are unavailable, a separate on-site survey is performed for confirmation.
  • When reinforcement is necessary, diagnostics results are used to provide the most appropriate solution, based on a comprehensive overview of the facilities and equipment.
