Achieving an Inert Gas Recovery Purity of 99.95%

Shinko Plantech's inert gas regenerator unit, ING-VRU, employs an adsorption method based on the pressure swing adsorption method. The device uses a non-flammable hydrophobic adsorption agent and a specially designed tank to remove VOC gases found in inert gases. The resulting gases can be reused within the plant as high-purity inert gases of over 99.95% purity.

In addition, we have developed a number of innovations that minimize pressure changes inside plants. Recovered organic solvents are condensed into liquids, which can also be reused. The ING-VRU reduces organic solvents as well as the operating cost of equipment that uses large quantities of inert gases, acting as a resource recycling device that ensures both safety and efficiency.

High Degree of Safety

Employs hydrophobic silica, zeolite, etc., which are noncombustible and non-catalytic, as the adsorption agent. Desorption does not require heat and is therefore safer than conventional methods.

Adsorption under Normal Pressure

This process adsorbs VOC gas under normal temperature and pressure, and regenerates under reduced pressure, so it is not subject to the High Pressure Gas Safety Law.

High Performance / High Recovery Rate

Adsorbs several percent concentration to a few dozen parts per million of VOC gas within a short period of time. Optimum recovery method and adsorption agent are designed based on the nature of target VOC gas and economic factors.

Wide Range of Use

Depending on the adsorption agent, this process allows the recovery of a wide range of toxic air pollutants including C2-C4.

Contributes to saving energy resources by regenerating inert gases through recycling of VOC gas.
